I tested the daylights out of this little meter!

Available HERE for under $10.00, this is an EXCELLENT low end multimeter for the price. Comes with leads and a battery, so it’s ready to go right out of the box.

DC Voltage scale from 0 to 1000 Volts (lowest scale 200 mV).
AC Voltage scale from 0 750 Volts (lowest scale 200 V).
DC Current scale from 0 to 10 Amps! (lowest scale 100uA)
Resistance scale from 0 ohms to 2 Mohms (lowest scale 200 Ohm)
Additional diode test function, capacitor test function, and hFE (transistor beta gain).
While rugged for the most part, it’s two weeknesses are:

1) It’s not very water proof (although it is water resistant)
2) Its LED doesn’t like physical shock (passed a 20′ ladder drop test, but failed the same test inside of a full toolbag).
3) While accurate under most conditions, when used at RF - the AC scales are not TRUE RMS.

Test Equipment Reviews - brought to you by ElectronicsTheory.Com

Have you recently used a piece of equipment that you thought was the best (or worst) ever produced?

Please feel free to leave your comment on how well - or poorly - a given piece of equipment worked for your individual needs.

Please be sure to include the equipment brand, model number, any options it had, and how you had it connected in circuit.  This may aid in finding a better way of building the mousetrap ( so to speak ), as manufacturers may look at these reviews, and see how their equipment is being used.  This type of data can help in designing the next generation of test equipment.
